Topic: Simple Question about hardware & versions of VDJ

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

So am I correct in assuming that for hardware (X-session Pro, Numark Total Control, etc.) to be supported, one must be using VDJ Pro Edition? And that it is not possible with the Limited, Home Edition? Or is there a way that I am not aware of? I want to get a Numark Total Control so I can get into scratching and manual beatmatching, but alas right now I am just using VDJ Home. Thanks!

The numark total control comes supplied with a copy of Numark Cue LE. (which is basically VDJ Rebranded). This version of the software is locked to the total control. meaning that you can not launch the software without the total control being connected to your computer.

If you are planning on using multiple controllers or possibly using the software without having to connect a controller you will need the Pro version of Virtual DJ or Numark Cue.

Hope that helps.

Virtual DJ Home Edition can be served only with mouse and keyboard :o)
