I just started running VDJ in windows via bootcamp. I haven't had any issues as of yet!!! knock on wood, I also haven't gigged with it yet. I also do not run an external HD on the windows side. I run all my music from the internal hd.

my macbook pro reads the external hard drive but it wont read the database so all of my music video titles that i had to manually enter after i decrypted the discs are gone. I wouldnt really care too much but if i cant reformat the hd im going to have to rename all 800 videos i have.

Instead of bootcamp try using Parallels 4.0 or VMware for your windows install on a Mac. Works better and no need to reboot when switching environments.

Whilst what you are saying is correct i wouldn't run a gig through a virtual pc.
The main reason being is you are running TWO operating systems at the same time and needing more system resources to do so. Then add Virtual DJ into the mix and you are seriously putting some unneeded pressure on the system.
If you can't use the Mac version of VDJ then use Bootcamp (IMO) is the only sensible option. =)

Use bootcamp. Parallels or VMware do not work better thank boot camp.
