Hey all,
Im just starting out and I have a basic (I hope) question. I have a 2cd mixer, the Gemini CDM 3600 (http://www.musicplace.ch/catalog/images/CDM3600.jpg) and no turntables. I recently bought a Maya 44 USB external sound card in order to be able t DJ along with my laptop. I am having major problems hoking it up, however, and was wondering if its even possible to do it with this mixer or do I need turntables to DJ with timecodes?
I hope that makes sense.
Thanks!

Ok - the bottom line is it will depend on what connections you have on the back of the unit.
I would guess you can't use time code. You will need to be able to output each cd player seperately to the soundcard and then from the sound card back into the mixer. Although i have never seen/used your players most "all-in-ones" that i have seen only have the master output and maybe a booth output - no options for each channel.

Dan is correct, you need 2 seperately outputs from both players to be able to use timecodes.
The players you are using, looks like they go straight to the "built in" mixer.
