I just bought this for $780 from BestBuy. Still in the box and have not open it yet. I would like some input on what you guys think on the specs. I will be using this for VJing and making Video Mixes.

I think the most important thing to consider here is what type of video card does this come with? Hopefully something pretty decent since you can't upgrade video on most laptops.
Everything else looks pretty good, though.

Personally I'd never use a laptop for video, I prefer having a screen larger than any laptop can offer.
Then there's the storage issue. (None)
As far as Dell computers, I have two (high end) Dell desktops that I use four nights a week, five hours a night playing 90 percent video. I keep them both in sync and alternate them in and out of service to be sure BOTH are ready to roll should one hit the wall.
I have ZERO crashes.
As far as what you read take it with a grain of salt. VDJ gets blamed for a lot of things that have nothing to to with the software.
Same goes for computer brands....

One of my laptops is a Toshiba Satellite with real similar specs. It runs rock solid! I admit I do not use it for video, but I do use it for some of Tayla's clipbanks with a second video monitor hooked up, and it is a stable as my desktop running just audio......

I have the Toshiba Satellite 205 series and I work 100% video and sometimes timecode on it and it's last years model. The funny thing is I have the PC as my back up at my location.
