Topic: Virtual DJ not starting

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I downloaded the new version for Vista install_virtualdj_djc_v3.4.1.exe, after installing I try to run and it only say:
"VirtualDj will now try to connect to the internet and check if a new version is available"
"you can disable this in the CONFIG menu at any time"

Then i get an error:

"DirectX sound driver error"

Nothing else happens VirtualDJ does not open at all.


I also have the Hercules insatall:

Package: 4.HDJS.2008

Firmware: 1.3.6.15
Driver: 4.3.0,0
DJ API: 2.0.16.6
CPL: 2.0.3.1

Any idea on what can i do

That is not the correct version - try downloading the trial version from this website...
