Hi, (Topic should say Opinion, Sorry!!!)

I`m looking to buy this Dell Laptop to run VDJ with my RMX. I will be using it for Audio Only.
Just wondering what people's opinions were about it, and whether it would run without any hiccups??????

Your thoughts appreciated........
Cheers,
Nelse.

should be more than adequate for audio only. If you think you might get into video then you should look for one with dedicated graphics. But audio only - this should do the trick ;)

Thanks.......
No, It will be used for Audio Only.....

The Good thing is that its a dell. You can easliy down grade to XP and you will have better Latecity. Any Dell Windows XP CD can be used in any dell laptop Or Desktop without worry about serial..... For audio, XP Rules big time.

Are you saying, Vista is no good for Audio Only?????

Nelse,

Vista or XP, it doesn´t matter.

The specs are normally good enough for mixing video.
So for audio only he can do it with two hands on his back without any problem.

Great,
Thanks.

Fixed ;-)

Im not sure if the model numbers are slightly different in other countries? Ive trialled VDJ just recently on a 1525 (not 1545 as you say), 3 gig ram 2 ghz I didnt try video at all but it worked fine for music. That was using XP pro tho but it should be ok with Vista.
