I just tryed the MPEG2 file and I get no sound, but the video works fine..do I need to change anything??
And I did check the faders and they are up and the crossfader in the correct position.

It may sound silly (and i'm not trying to teach you to suck eggs) but please check the faders are up and the crossfader in the correct position.

If the audio plays correctly in a normal software (Windows Media Player/Quicktime etc) it should be fine.
But you could try changing the codec in the config menu to Windows Media Video?

does just playing mp3s work ok if not...
check your settings in config > sound set up
