It just gives to all your mp3 files a new sound dimension....Great piece of software http://www.platinumnotes.com/ ...the only dissandvantage is that its a liitle slow..but believe me it worths it.

Here's a novel idea......use wav files. Better quality sound and no remastering.
Posted Sun 08 Mar 09 @ 10:26 pm
I know wav is better..but imagine a collection of 40000 tracks how much disc space will use

I have heard of this software before. After a run of my track thru this software will my Virtual DJ markers and cue get erase or do they stay?

...or something like FLAC or another lossless compression...

TO DJ DYDY1 .....It has an option to keep the original id3 tags of the tracks to be analysed untouched so I think that cue points and evthing else are safe

Cue points within VDJ arent stored in the tracks ID3tag. They are stored within the VDJ database.
In answer to the question - so long as the filename remains the same VDJ will remember your loop points. It is only when you start changing the filenames that Virtual DJ will get confused.
Hope that helps.

When you download songs, You dont get them in WAV file. They release them in MP3

That is why I get 99% of my music on CDs. The quality is far superior and it is easy to prove that I legally own the music. Plus a 2TB drive is less than $300.

Platinum Notes is a great program.
If you have a huge hard drive running at a fast speed.....the best way to use PN is to rip your cd to a wav file....then master it in PN.
PN does not overwrite anything....and a side by side comparison between the mastered version vs the original version on a loud club system, the difference is like night and day.
Get a good soundcard, get platinum notes and get a signal processor to run between your mixer and the clubs master output and FEEL the difference!

Posted Fri 13 Mar 09 @ 7:56 am

Posted Sat 14 Mar 09 @ 3:53 pm

I post here almost every day and I don't see THIS FORUM "full of posts" suggesting" links to cracked software. I checked this software out when this post was started and it's NOT FREE software. But feel free to take a shot and prove your point just remember "fish" don't shoot back. :^)

This is a well moderated forum and you wont find any of those links here that I've seen.
Back to topic - I am guessing this is some kind of processing tool in which case I recommend Har-Bal. A great mastering tool which teaches you a lot as you use it in regards to equalisation. www.har-bal.com

sorry, I didn't have time to post earlier.
Hello Man-Tk
I know this forum has rules but in order to better “RESPECT THEM” we need to know them first. I was asking for clarification on the rules so I can follow them better since I have seen others place less-than-legal suggestions that are not censored/Moderated.
I know PM is not free just like other uncensored post know what they are suggesting is less-than-legal. For example; there are post here explaining how to get around DRMs and another providing an actual link to a program that will remove DRMs. Also others suggesting searches for Mash-ups (Mash-ups aren’t considered legal even as nonprofit), etc.
My friend: It’s very easy to understand!! Since I've seen these types of post (as well as the others I mentioned about Limewire) that have not been Moderated, I thought I would post a Google suggestion (I did NOT provide links).
Now: your example of google searches for bombs: WELL, if this forum had uncensored google searches on grenades then a bomb search would not be such a crazy search.
If after you reading what I just explained you still consider me asking for clarification a "stupid thing", then you have no business being a moderator. All the other moderators I have seen are cordial and don’t refer to a legitimate request for clarification as a “stupid thing” or “crying”. This is quite ironic when you yourself claim “El foro de Vdj siempre se ha caracterizado por el buen compañerismo e intencion de ayuda a todos - Man-Tk [… the Vdj forum has been characterized by the good camaraderie and intention to help everyone …]”.
And NO, I will not post for you the links suggesting LIMEWIRE, TORRENTS, and BEARSHARE searches for pirate mp3s or even the one providing a link to remove DRMs for you to moderate them. That's your job. I found them and so can you. Just be consistent in your censorship/Moderating.
Besides, all those fellow DJ's suggesting these things have one thing in common: WE are just trying to help other DJs without (knowingly) breaking any rules.

My point is, and has been, proven about this forum having various post suggesting less-than-legal activities that have not been censored/Moderated. I’m surprised that, since you post here "almost every day", you haven’t come across any. But feel free to split hairs on whether or not each specific less-than-legal suggestion is for a program, a mash-up search, a Ares search, a link to a program that will assist in doing something illegal or even what shade of gray a less-than-legal suggestion is. I guess some fish have that kind of time ;-)
And to stay on topic:
I agree with fenderisc "the only dissandvantage [with PN] is that its a liitle slow..but believe me it worths it."
