Topic: scratch function on numark total control

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

my total control scratch function does not stay lit,if i am moving the jog wheels or any other functions it stays in scratch mode but once i stop it dosent stay on scratch but goes back to regular functions,does anyone know a way to change this so it stays in scratch mode untill i exit by pressing the button again?

Are you using the Traktor overlay?
 
no i believe im using the cue plate
 
Are you using the VDJ TC native remote or the plugin (moramax)?
 
im really not sure ,how can i telll what my setup is?

Do you remember downloading the mapper? Look in the external control folder in Documents / Virtual DJ / Plugins
 
yes i downloaded the mapper and it is currently running
 
Using the Plugin mapper might be the cause of this issue. In your own point of view, do you like this mapper? Otherwise you can delete the kco dll file on the external device plugin section then use the VDJ native instead.
 
i deleted the mapper from my pc but it still shows up in the external devices section, how can i remove it from there? i apologize for the simplicity of these questions but these are things i really have no clue about, when i delete effects from the save point they are no longer available but not sure how to do this for the mapper
 
this is a new post in this topic but a slightly different problem but i didnt wanna flood the forum with questions about the total control,ive been using VDJ for about a year and until a few weeks ago i was using a hercules control mp3 with very few problems but with the total control its a little different,i was still looking for info about deleting the mapper but the new problem i have is that when i am mixing i record the mix every time but every time i record or even just mix for a while vdj keeps shutting down,sometimes i get the smiley face and red X message,but tonight i had a different message it was somethink about C++ (apologies,i shut it before realizing i might need to know exactally what it said),if someone who is familiar with vdj and the total control could help me it would be much appreciated,if possible i would like to correspond directly with someone off of the forums, but if not the forum is fine,my email address is on my profile( once again apologies,i dont wanna post and email on the forum)so like i said any help will be greatly appreciated
 
If your VDJ shuts down when recording this would not be related to the TC.

Do you have a crash log?
 
im not sure but i really dont think i do,im quite computer illiterate and am not sure exactly what the crash log is

i also remembered another problem im having and thats when i am mixing one song and setting up the other to a point when i use the jog wheel i get lots of static in the track thats playing but thats for another day,im just trying to get my setup to work as well as it did with hercules dj control mp3

like i said help is much appreciated and ill take any i can get
 
Crash guard text is usualy saved in documuments > Virtual DJ.

You should make a ticket with the details from this file an an explination of the issue.
