This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have my headset conencted to the front of my computer and my speker system conencted to the back.. but the system requires 3 ports.
VDJ only wants to play through the FL and FR speakers. how do i make it play through all of them?

Some speakers system can do some sort of "virtual 5.1" , meaning that if you connect it to a stereo source, it will render the sound on all speakers. Certain system will have a switch allowing you to select the type of output, while others will require that you connect only the main cable (usually green). The user manual should contain this information.

As for your soundcard, you should look at the configuration, as some computer will mute the main out if you connect a pair of headphone to the front port (as they usually act as the same output).

Ideally , your soundcard should be configured in 4.1, so VDJ can use 2 output: 1 for the main, the other for Headphone.

For Virtual DJ go to the Sound Setup, and configure as follow:

- Input : None

- Output(s): Headphone

-Soundcard: Your soundcard

A menu should then appear, allowing you to select which output to be used for the main out and the headphone preview. If you intend to use the front headphone port, you should select :

MAIN 3/4 (connecting your speakers to the SURROUND output of the soundcard)
Headphone 1/2

here is my currrent setup
the options you told me to do arent on mine....
