I was just curious if any of these three USB mixers are compatible with Virtual DJ.
1.)VMC-002XLu
2.)VMC-004XLu
3.)VMC-004FXu
They are all Vestax mixers.
Please email me! Sorry, NLU's are not allowed to post e-mail addresses.

There is nothing to be compatible...
The usb section of the mixer is a USB soudcard. Plug it in and confgure it like any other soundcard.
None of the mixers are MIDI capable, so no controll of VDJ internal functions, and Also they are NON ASIO, so no Timecode with the USB soundcard.

So I guess what I want to do is get a mixer that will control the functions of VDJ. Like the fader, eq, volume, etc... Any ideas? Plus having XLR on the mixer is another thing I'm looking for! Any ideas???

Well I guess after much browsing I'm going to get a Numark NS7!

I use the cm200 Numark, it has two sound cards on board with switching to enable recording to and from your lappy. Also you can connect two laptops to use at the same time. For my use its a good piece of kit.

I use the pioneer DJM-800 mixer now, and have just ordered numark virtual vinyl and Djio soundcard so i can use my decks or CDJ 1000mk3's. I'll let you know how i get on. But at the moment i use the total control mixer and the numark cm200-USB as i use one usb channel for one laptop running Virtual Dj for video and mixing, and one USB channel for another laptop running itunes for normal radio edits or effects and jingles. I use the mixer soundcard as my main ouput and the laptop soundcard for my headphone/monitoring. Works a treat.

Got my virtual vinyl and djio today. And not impressed. The website said the two are compatible, but you cant use the two at the same time, so in all, usless, as i wanted to use the time codes as a controller and the djio as a monitor source so i could use all my djm800's channels. Also, i could not set up the virtual vinyl at all. Once the box was activated the decks did what they liked and spun in all directions at different speeds, and configuring the time coded vinyl and cd's was impossible! So i shall be returning them for my money back as there is no support what so ever from numark.

Hi they are really for two different purposes VV is designed to be used with a Mixer, you would do all of your monitoring on the mixer.
The DJIo is intended for use with a MIDI controller.
Please contact me directly, I can assist you with VV sbangs[at]numark[dot]com

Xone:3D and Xone:4D I imagine would.
Firewire opens up other choices, for example the Ecler Evo 5 and Korg Zero 4 or 8.

That would not work due to rane hardware locking to SL.

I use the Numark M1usb.. So far its great but just one thing. The fader on the monitor does not move when i mix the tracks. Is there and or how do i get the fader on the screen to move from ch1 to 2. I mean thats the only problem because i want to make a cd and use the auto spit into tack mode but fader doesn't move.. Get back to me

I was successfully able to use the d.2 pro from mackie with virtual vinyl. just plugged my tec 1200 mk2 right into the phono input and firewire straight into the laptop and selected to use the asio driver. it recognized the tc 100% and worked like a champ! the mixer only gives you midi control on the xfader. for me that was all i really needed, since i only wanted to be able to control the video fader and let the mixer handle the audio.

I know this thread has been dormant for a while, but I had a question about a couple USB mixers as well.
I notice that the Numark M1USB has two USB ports in the back. Do you need to use both USB cables in order to have an output for both decks (set up as separate sound cards)? Or is that just in case you want to have each deck get its input from two different computers, or use a different computer for recording?
Also, the Gemini PS-626USB- it only has one USB port. Does it show up as a 4-channel sound card so you can have one track on each deck, or will it only function as a basic 2 channel sound card?
I've also come across the ALESIS MultiMix 8USB, but this seems geared more towards input from the mixer to record on the computer than the other way around. Does anybody know if this will work for VDJ? Will it let you output more than one track from the computer to the mixer at the same time?
I have also seen some Behringer models that claim to have USB, but I don't see any USB ports in the pictures. It might be an error. Either way, I've heard to avoid Behringer products because they are poor quality?
If anybody has used these mixers (or other similar ones) I would greatly appreciate the feedback. I understand that these will not control VDJ because they are not MIDI controllers, they will just act as a soundcard+mixer (which is exactly which is exactly what I need). Again, thanks for any help!

Wow, that looks amazing! Unfortunately, way out of my price range at the moment. :( Definitely something to work up towards though!

I found an answer for the Numark USB mixers. It seems that each USB port is for a 2-channel sound card, so you would have to plug both USB cables to the same computer and use VDJ with the multiple sound card setup to use both decks.
I've looked a little more at the Gemini one, and it seems that you can only use the USB sound on channel 3 of the mixer, so it wouldn't work very well with VDJ (unless you were to use your computer's sound card to plug the other deck into the mixer, but that almost defeats the point of having a USB mixer).
I still haven't been able to find out on the Alesis, and any feedback from people who have used any of these would be great.
