RE: Mixing Videos
When changing from Player 1 going into Player 2 can the cross fader on the X900 Mixer LINK with the HC4500 Controller, so the cross fader transitions from Player 1 to Player 2 on the Virtual DJ software?
How do I make this work?
I want the cross fader on X900 mixer to fade with Virtual DJ software I've heard this can be done.
Thanks,
Bob

Are you using the JP Boggis custom mapper or just native controller support?

Yes, I installed the JP Boggis custom mapper.

If you read in your X900/HC4500 owners manual it will tell you how to enable x-fader control....

I have the cross fader working with the 4500..not with vdj...it will start one video and I get just the sound from the other side when I slide the crossfader over.. I have the Xfader working, I need the cross fader on the mixer and the cross fader on the software to be in sync, that's all.

To enable X-control for video crossfading with the Denon X500 or X900 mixer, you need to do the following:
The crossfader should now move the video crossfader in VirtualDJ. This works with both native support and the mapper.
NOTE: The audio crossfader in VirtualDJ will not move (Unless you link the crossfader in VirtualDJ's Video config options -This is not recommended, because you will not be able to headphone pre-listen from the mixer.)
- Connect the X-control cable between the mixer and DN-HC4500 (This needs to be a normal stereo 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack cable.)
- Hold down the MEMO button on the the HC4500 to enter its built-in preset mode.
- Turn the parameter knob to choose X-CONT XFD
- Press the parameter knob to edit.
- Turn the parameter knob to change it to On.
- Press the parameter knob to save.
- Press MEMO to exit HC4500 preset mode.

If the X-control cable is connected and this feature has been enabled as above, all you need to do is move the real crossfader on the X900 mixer to the appropriate side and the video crossfader will follow (E.g: Put it to the left and the video on deck 1 will be displayed. Put it to the right and the video on deck 2 will be displayed.)
If it doesn't work, please verify the steps above. Also, check that you have connected the X-control cable between the X-control socket of the mixer and the X-control socket of the HC4500.

I went thru the system several times, made sure everything was hooked up correctly and it seems to be working now. I still need to make some minor tweeks, but everything seems to be working fine. Thanks to everyone who replied and offered help & ideas (especially JPBoggis) !!
