Topic: ONE OF TCV'S INVERTED ON THE WAVEFORMS, WHY?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

hey guyz,

so when i click on the config button for my tcvs, and then i run them, even if the tts r both spinning in the same direction, one of the waveforms moves in the reverse direction,

so if both of my tts spinning clockwise, if i hit play on one tt, the waveform moves forward, but if i hit play on the other deck, the waveform moves backwards,

and i gotta go into the options and click on invert phase,

WHY DOES IT DO THAT ??? and how do i fix it?

i run vdj pro 5.2.1 on vista with ssl tcvs and hercules rmx as a soundcard.

any help is highly appreciated.

If you have to hit invert phase to get it to play right, it just means you have the RCA cables for that TT the wrong way around

oh thanks a lot man! i did not even think about that! ur a life saver!

But that is why the option to Invert Phase is there ... so you don't have to switch the cables back... just check the option and you are good to go.

i know i can, but i guess i should just switch the cable, want eerything tobe perfect u know..;-)

As my old man would say

"Son, if you are going to do a job, do it properly in the first place" lol

haha true dat true dat! ;-P

by the way, i checked my rca cables, they were fine, what was wrong was on one of the numark groovetool headshells the idiot i bought it from gave me, he switched the 4 cables, thats why it was reversed,

just fyi for anybody using those kinda needles...
