Topic: Firewire Drive Question

Hi-

I am starting to download my entire CD collection to MP3 on my laptop. It is obvious that I will run out of disk space soon.

Are any of you using 7200 rpm Firewire drives with VDJ? How are the external drives performing? Any problems, or lookouts? Has anyone daisy chained Firewire drives?

I've been using an external firewire drive since before there were 7200 rpm drives.
Never had a problem.
Now using a 7200 rpm 400 gigger.

No problem whatsoever. No problem daisy chaining them either.

I've used both USB1, USB2 and ieee1394a (Firewire, 400Mb/s) drives and no problems with any of them.

Using a WD 7200RPM 250 GB drive with USB2.0/Firewire. Works fine. I'd say it should work with any external harddrive.
