Topic: How do you send other users messages

As the title states, wondering how you send messages to other uses as i need to get in touch with one of the forum members.

Click on the users name on a thread, it brings up their profile and there's an icon on that screen (pen and paper) to send a message.
 
Yeah that's what i tried but it takes me to a screen that doesn't have a pen and paper?

wierd..

Sending PM is a privilege for the registered user.
