All the buttons on the ICDX have a mapping, this controller is a HID device so it is not possible to alter the mapping.
What did you have in mind , perhaps a plugin developer might consider making a mapping.

we have the brake and start knobs that are not used when in hid mode. I wanted to see if i can use the brake knob to control the level of the brake when i hit pause. currently i have the brake as an effect which kinda sux as if i want to add an effect before cutting the track, i cannot. i have to pick the brake or the efffect.
i tried usign serato with the icdx, and the brake and start knobs works, thats why i was wondering.
As well when i used serato, the back spin on the icdx was so flawless. here again, i have the back spin as an effect, which sux. it sounds digital, and i dont understand how a non numark program, controls a numark deck better at certain things. dosent make sense.
Can any one comment on this?
