So i just got Hercules Deelay Trim, and having trouble connecting my CDJ1000mk2, and CDJ800 to work with Virtual DJ. Any thoughts??? Any help will be very appreciated!!

I had the same issue with mine, I later found out that on the Deejay trim, the line/Phono switch was set to Phono and once I switched that, it worked like majic... Hope that helps.

I have the Deejay Trim with Pioneer 1000s. The problem is, when I load a track, it matches the BPM but once I hit play, it jumps off and I can't get it to match the other player's, even if I try manually. When I try manually, it comes to within 15 BPMs then it jumps past the mark by another 15 BPMs. I'm not sure if this is a Pioneer issue, I also have a DAC2 and when I use it, I have no issues at all.
I also get pop sounds with the Deejay trim, they're not too loud and not there all the time but they're there and bother me.
Any ideas?

Is your master tempo on on the CDJ's? If so turn it off as it screws with the timecodes. If you are getting popping boost your latency and it should go away.

Thanks Triple9. I don't remember if I had the Master tempo on or off but I'll try it and pay attention to it tonight. I'll boost the latency too and hopefully get clearer results. Thanks a bunch.

Hi , I have an issue using timecode with the Pioneer DVJ-1000s, Virtual DJ 7, and Hercules Deejay Trim 4&6:

I can connect everything, I have sound, I can load video and mp3s but when I use the jog mode on the DVJ-1000 I hear like very tiny pauses and a wierd sound while slowing down or speeding up using the jog mode like I said, neither the pitch control is working, at all.

I checked settings from the manuals and everytihing "looks" ok, am I missing something here ? , please help !! I have a very important event this weekend !!

Thanx !!!!

if you have vdj7, you haven't registered it. Do so and someone will give you some pointers.

So, I tried using my Virtual Vinyl with my CDJ-800/DJM-600 set up at mardi gras. I could manipulate the MP3 with the timecode cd, however, there was never any sound. If I switched to another channel on my mixer, say, pass 1, which was the left deck, I could hear the constant beep, so I know it was working, just not when I tried to control Virtual Vinyl. This program has been a HUGE headache since I bought it. I knew I should have bought SL...

I have used Virtual Vinyl since version 5.2 on many types of sound cards with no problems. If you can manipulate the decks with the timecodes the issue is in your output. what mixer are you plugged into? Half the time I see this issue it's because someone is plugged into a channel and it is set to phono, or in the case of the pioneer DJM-800's the little toggle switch by the RCA's is set to "Digital" instead of "Line". How is your sound set up? Are you using ASIO?

ITs showing Virtual Vinyl for the sound driver. I tried switching every toggle and switch that had anything to do with phono or line, both on the VV box and on my DJM600 mixer, Like i said, when I run it through, I can hear the timecode signal but when I have a track playing, I have no output. I sat on hold with Numark for 30 minutes and never spoke with anyone in tech support...I'm going to try setting it up once again this week and playing with it....i hope I can get it figured out...

still waiting to see if the mappers for the ddj t1 is coming out?

how about mappers for the pioneer ddj-s1 ??? any word?

guys cant seem to find it is there an update for djm500.have to say its running smooth but always update drivers ect to go along with software updates ect

DJM 500 is a mixer with no usb interface. There is no driver to update...

Hey Virtual DJ family. I 'm using ver 7.0.2 pro and for some reason I can't specify with CDJ-400 is deck 1 and the other deck 2. When I press the eject to assign each CDJ-400 to its own deck, they both get assign to the same deck number. Before with the old version. One CDJ-400 will display 01 and the other 02 and dj just as if I was play cds. Now I have to press eject to switch back and forth between deck for both CDJ-400. Any suggestions

in the setup menu, go to mappers click the box next to the dropdown select deck assignment, and assign each cdj to deck 1 or deck 2 instead of them both being default. no way to tell which is which so load a song to test. Plugging deck 1 in first and deck 2 2nd usually keeps you from having to do this.

Hello guys!

I just started using CDJ-400s with VirtualDJ. Everything works fine, I am totally satisfied with this symbiosis except one trifle. You all probably know how CDJs normally (i.e. without VDJ) work in vinyl mode, while the song isn't playing. If you make a scratch and then release the jog wheel, the song goes back to the cue point. This is really useful feature for me because I can make some simple scratches this way without touching a mixer. So this why I want to ask a question: is it possible to program VDJ's mapping for CDJ-400 to provide the same functionality?

Peace,
Danny Lo.

P.s.: I don't really know if this is the right forum to ask this question, maybe I should post it in scripting forum?

The feature is not enabled by default on the CDJ or in Virtual DJ. It is called Scrtach cue. It can be scripted, but you'll need to register your product to get info on that.

I am putting together a new system and am new to the laptop entertainment world. I've been DJing for 15 years. It seems like the more I read the more confused I have become.

I am about to purchase VDJ and am a little unsure of how to connect a lap top (close to purchase, specs below) , MEP -7000 controller and CD player (just purchased), mixer (Rane with 4 RCA ins) to run both music and video.

The computer I'm looking at is an Asus 17.3" screen with:
3: USB 2.0 Ports
1: USB 3.0 Port
1: VGA
1: HDMI
1: Mic jack
1: Headphone jack

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Intel Core i7
8 GB DDR3 memory
1 TB hard disk
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M graphic card
Video Memory: 1.5 GB GDDR5 VRAM

Can someone give me some guidance on connections so that i can use my headphones to cue while program music plays? Also video sound connections (same as regular sound?).
I'm not sure where to get my music signal from the laptop. I have seen people use the headphone jack but don't think that is the best way, maybe I'm wrong.
When I started putting things together I understood that I didn't need and external sound card with the equipment I'm using. Now I see some people using them. Didn't think I need it with this equipment.
How does the Pioneer controller work with VDJ to mix and transition video? How do you mix video...using the laptop or the 7000 controller?

I am about to purchase the laptop and want to make sure I have the connections I'll need.

I've plugged in my pioneer 350 set into my computer on control mode and it perfectly syncs up with vdj. Allthough when I set my output through the mixer only channel one on the mixer has output which means I have no control on the different channels on my mixer and if I want to make something as simple a a transition I need to to do it on the computer screen in vdj. This really bugs, me to be almost there but still not.

So my question is; how do I set the output so that I can use the pioneer mixer to control the volumes on both channels and eventually crossfade?

Thanks in advance

Hi Leogynge,
What are using as the sound device? The 350's?
If you are trying to use the 350s as your sound device, make sure you have installed the driver that comes with your rekordbox. (which I assume you have since you have control)
I'm on XP, but it should be similar on most OS.
Under the sound setup tab all I have done is set mine up like this.

Inputs + None

Outputs = External mixer (2 channel)

Sound cards = 2 cards (This is the one just under mono seperate. The picture of a laptop and USB sound device)
Next to that you will see two drop downs. In these select your two CDJ350s. You might need to flip these two selections around if they're not the right way around first go.

There may be a better way to do this, but I'm not aware of it. This way seemed to work for me.

Hope this helps.

I have tje same problem and i cant get it to work?
