Right mate, I guess you are using the LE (console) version that came with the RMX. Is it the most up to date version and are your RMX drivers the latest ones (Dec 08 package)

In the LE version you can't really change your sound setting, the RMX is set to run in Asio mode I believe in this version, the Pro version, you have a choice of either Asio or WMD mode.

Anyway here is some stuff you could try which may help, or may not ;)

Is your laptop/PC dedicated for VirtualDJ, if so then you could try disabling some devices (in Device Manager) that can cause sound problems. Here is what I've disabled on my Vista gig laptop

Microsoft AC Adaptor - disable
Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery - disable
WiFi/Bluetooth - disable
Internal Modem - disable
Intergated Webcam - disable
Opitical Drive - disable

Also are you running any Anti-virus/firewalls? They do use alot of resources, so you could try turning them off or un-installing them, thats if you don't go on the internet with your machine.

Well I hope that helps you a bit, lol
