Well, where do I start? I recently bought the Numark Total Control...I like It pretty well...but what I dont like is that the Numark software is limited!! Thats what brings me here...I downloaded Virual Dj demo...all I can say is Wow!!! So thats what the full Program does!! So Its a lil different from Numark..well just the turn table picture instead of just a red and blue circle in the middle of the screen!!

Now as far as my mixing...can u say...I mix like a old man dancing to rap music!! I just cant get the beat to match even in sync!! well I've been trying to learn this for about 3 almost 4 weeks!! I thought it'll be easier then this!! I know its going to take alot of Pratice but doggone...I'm not gonna give up...cause its alot of easy money involve!! But now I have a problem with my laptop trying to go out the cheap route...My cousin has the full version of Virtual Dj...I let him install it on my laptop...and come to find he had an bootleg copy and it was encrypt with a virus..shut my laptop down...lucky for me my brother-inlaw is a pc tech...he's reinstalling Vista for me as I speak

With that said...how do I go by ordering or getting a discount on a full version of Virtual Dj? I know I can get a discount because I already have their product just dont know how much of a discount I will get!!! any price quote will help!!

And also which will be better if I installed the upgrade from my email or just let them send me a copy? The reason I ask this question is because I want to have a copy on my desktop and laptop!

Just go to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html, and at the very bottom, enter your serial-number and click continue, and you'll get the discount.

But please, don't think this is going to be easy. Personally, I don't know if there's anything wrong with my MP3s, but frankly, I wouldn't trust any application to analyze it; the sync button is of little value, at least to me. Hasn't worked any of the times I've tried it.

If I screw up, I know who to blame, my bad. If it's a computer program however.

Just a little warning.

Edit: Oh, and getting it boxed isn't of that much value either. You could just add your serial to your profile and grab the setup from the Download Center any time you need it.

@ djcoolbreeze:

If you are serious about djing ignore the beatlock/sync feature for now or at least the learning process. Learn how to beat match by ear, believe me, ITS THE ONLY EQUIPMENT YOU CAN TRUST in this business.
Further more, the accuracy of the beatlock/sync feature might not work as you think or expect it should, however, its accuracy is very good.

try this: imagine the dots at the top of vdj as being beats and you try to mix in another song that is similar, you want to get all dots to line up perfectly like this

| . . . | . . . | . . . | . . . | <--- song 1
| . . . | . . . | . . . | . . . | <--- song 2

this would be in a perfect world, however the following is also another posibility to get the songs to sound lined up properly:

| . . . | . . . | . . . | . . . | <--- song 1
. . | . . . | . . . | . . . | . . <--- song 2

here and there you must also line them up as the following:

| . . . | . . . | . . . | . . . | <--- song 1
. | . . . | . . . | . . . | . . . <--- song 2

There are many possibilities, and training you ear to detect these things is the only way to get beats to match 100%...
Don't take it the wrong way, but someone once told me; "ive forgotten more things over the last 10 years than what you have learned over the last two months" its a long journey that requires a lot of patience and a lot of time trying out different things with music...

PS: if you think this business is easy money, you another thing coming...
