here you go Mark

now if they can get it to work with VDJ

it's not working perfect ...they have problems with the jogs . Itch works ok : 100%.

yeah that is the issue.... the jog wheels are the selling point so any mapping to other software is pointless without 100% jog wheel support

definitely.. true.. jog dont work.... no deal

The Jogs work as they are suppose to with normal MIDI speed the problem is the VCI-300 puts out a faster MIDI signal no software other than Itch can read. When I have my jogs setup with VDJ it does scratch there is just a delay, same delay I have with my RMX, ifand when these other company adapt to the faster MIDI, I believe everything will be fine.

If your just using the jog for "bending" then it works perfectly IMHO, with VDJ.

I would guess that the delay is the same as a VCI-100? Does anyone have one setup with VDJ that can comment on how the scratching sounds using a VCI-100, since its native?

SO I think we have to give these companies time to hopefully incorporate faster MIDI signals, once a standard is setup I think we will see numerous decent controllers. Hopefully NAMM 2009 has some surprises!

Maybe I will try and do a video if I get time, and can borrow a camera.

Controllers R Not good for scratch .... I want to use my Vci300 with Vdj ..not for scratch ...just for play music -
If a turntablist see anybody scratching with a controller ...he will laught in your face ...If you want to scratch BUy a real TT .

you know i laugh everytime i see your post... real turtablist do this real tutablist do that.... of course they use turntables or the would not be called TURNTABList .... but honestly i personally saw mr dibbs, killa jewel, d-styles, ztrip and even krsone rocking on an comenting on the positive use of the vci-300. I have no do turntablism for years know but when i get my ns7 i will post my results....look up youtube videos of the scratching on the itch controllers and then tell me if that is or is not scratching. maybe next time they are near by i will get ztrip to swing by and rock my ns7

yes ..i saw some videos scratching with vci300 ...they are very bad if you compare with real TT . NS7 is very different .

ok then that says i probalby have been misreading your post. and stand corrected.

Come on ..let be serious please ...you can't scratch with hercules or vestax controllers ... you can do some things , but nothing REAL GOOD as with a turntable . Ns7 is another history .

i think that is where we differ... sure you cant do some of the advance scratches but for the most part those are filler..... i mean you CAN rock a party with baby scratches, transforms, beat juggling ,crabs , cutting. churps and flares all posible on the vci-300. I am sure you cant win dmc...but honestly most dj's dont plan to

Just to clarify my post(s) the on VCI-300, IMHO I don\\\'t think its good enough to win a DMC. :) You can definitely do the above noted to a degree, as there is a slight delay on the fader(which is apparent on a ton of hardware mixers as well), so certain advanced stuff may not be perfect. But for basic and mediocre scratching one would do at a club or radio show, beat juggling ect. I can\\\'t see any issues.

Like i have been saying it\'s not a perfect solution, don\'t buy the VCI-300 thinking its going to be your savior, remember its 1.0 hardware and software, not even 6 months old!!! Give it some time things will get better for everyone.

Do any of you remember Pioneers first 1.0 table top player CDJ-500, I had these and remember all the issues:

On of my boys had the technics tabletops as well (those came out around 87 I think):

The CDJ-500\'s came out around 94/95, it took 6 years for them to release the CDJ-1000\'s, so if the VCI-300 is at this level now (which is honestly pretty good), just imagine what the next model or update will have, further more when other more innovative companies start putting out better hardware.

ITCH and the VCI-300 came out less than 6 months ago.....they haven't even had a firmware upgrade! Their still tuning the 1.04 release of the software............long story short people need to chill.........give it some time, I am sure the integration into other software will be there, time is of the essence.....

I still own one of those technics units.. still sound awsome..

I think if Pioneer comes out with a Professional MIDI controller, then its all over for everybody the only problem is that its kinda "conflict of interest".

Pioneer will price themselves out of alot of budgets. Pioneer makes great gear, and they would probably make a superb controller but you will pay through the nose for it. They'll leave plenty of room for the smaller guys to keep the lower budget market.

actually i hope they do.......that is what i want a selection of quality midi controllers .. moving platters ect

Two products that will deter Pioneer from coming out with a professional controller
1) SVM-1000
2) DVJ-1000

They will kill those 2 products if they ever debut a unit into the midi-jog/platter controller arena.

they have, it's the CDJ400 which is quite nice actually
