Topic: waveforms are glitchy

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi all,

Just re-installed my system and everything is working great, except for the glitchy wafevorms at the top of the screen. I had this problem about a year ago when I did a re-install and can't remember for the life of me what I did to fix it. I searched the forums with no luck either.

I know my Video card says it's 256 MB, but actually shares half of that with RAM. I think I somehow disabled this sharing and that fixed my problem last time.

Any suggestions on how/where to do this?

Dell Inspiron E1505
2GHz Core 2 Duo
2GB RAM
ATI Mobility RAdeon X1400

Thanks!

What soundcard are you using? I've noticed some creative cards do this (but only when running in ASIO mode).

I got the same laptop you have, try checking overclocking it works for me.

@ sbdj: I'm using the Hercules MKII as my ASIO sound card

@djpr1: That sounds familiar. Where can I find the option of checking the overclock?

Thanks!

go to performance it is under your latency settings.

Here for a clear view:

I'm pretty sure I have overclock checked, but I can't remember for sure. I'll try playing with some settings when I get home and let y'all know how it goes.

Thanks for the help so far...

Try turning Safe Mode off if it's on.
