Topic: Won't Cue when using video...

I vdj'd a party thursday night and had multiple problems with my laptop...I'm in the process of getting a new laptop now but thats beside the point....When my laptop was working it wouldn't let me listen to my videos through my headphones...I was setup with the dj io soundcard which was connected to my mixer... I had channels 1&2 to the left deck and 3&4 to the right deck but when I pressed the cue button on my mixer no sound was coming through the headphones, it worked for the track playing and my cd players but not with the deck that was waiting in cue...if i moved the crossfader a little it would work but you heard the song through the speakers and would see the video start to fade over....Any suggestions? It works fine when I use the full audio skin but not when I use video, is there something in the config menu that I am missing? Need some help because I have another gig coming up soon....Thanks for the help....

PS- My laptop crashed 4 times during the party, I was so pissed, I had my cd players cued up ready to go but was really embarressed when the blue screen popped up saying fatal error....I just priced out a dell xps for $2500, seems like everytime i pay something off another thing breaks or needs replacing...O well, hopefully the phone will start ringing for some more gigs...

Just a tip, when running in mixer mode, Disable VDJ's internal crossfader (Cfg/Options) You may have had vdj's crossfader to 1 side.
 
thanks for reply, if i disable the crossfader how will the videos get transitioned, my external mixer handle's the audio transition but I use virtual dj's crossfader for the videos....
 
In most skins you can click on the video preview window for that deck and it will smoothly fade to the other. Or you can create shortcuts to use the keyboard.
