Topic: Video clubs in LA or Las Vegas?

Hello!

Is there any decent video clubs in LA or Las Vegas?
I've never been at USA but now I'm heading to California for several weeks. I really like to check out a real video jockey club (preferably DJs
using Virtual DJ;) and know what is it all about....

I live in Helsinki,Finland and there's no bar or club playing music videos :/

I believe DJ phat-al is all video in Vegas>>>
 
Yeah I (DJ Phat AL) am playing in Vegas all video.
I don't have a residency currently though. I am doing some weekends at Eye Candy in Mandalay Bay. I have some other things in the works though.

And... I used to use Virtual DJ for 3+ years but I switched to Serato Video for 4 main reasons.

1) Plug-in-Play... works out of the box no sweat.
2) Works great on a MAC. (I am PC fan from the start though)
3) Timecode is SPOT ON.
4) ... and most important to me... Supports Tag info on MP4 (h.264) video files. .
-- a feature I requested for almost a year.

with the tag support I can get my library ready with tags.
import it into serato
and POOF!
all my info is in the right places! Artist, Title, Remix, BPM, Album, Etc....

No need to scan everything to get BPM's... can play RIGHT AWAY!!


sorry... didn't mean to go off on a rant.


so to sum up... yes I do play ALL video here in Las Vegas.

As far as places that do ALL video here...
Well the crew I work with that manage the DJ's at Eye Candy do Video there everyday but Thrusday.
Jet Nightclub when Roonie G is in town.
V-Bar in the Venetian
... that is all I can think of right now...

and hopefully my next full time residency too :-)
 
tags have been requested for a long long while, just wished they would implement them, but apparently this will compromise the speed of loading in the browser...

it doesn't effect Serato at all... so it isn't impossible to make it work well and fast.

I watch Las Vegas series, can someone tell me is the night life really that good and crazy as the show represent? If yes, I will move there immediately :)

you know i agree but realistically ( just like graphic programs , that is my other job) different programing makes different features easier to implement than other....vdj can not just swipe code from serato and make it work
 
we don't need code from anywhere, i used to use mixmeister years ago and their's was quite adequate and fast, same goes for quite a lot of other programmes... anyway think were going off topic, sorry.

We will arrive to Las Vegas on New year Evening and stay there for few days. Where could we see a great video show? :)

No video clubs at Los Angeles? We'll stay there longer....
