Its somewhat a good idea... but i doubt many would be honest about it, and put crack user.. Although we coould, my measures of detection. But we wont. So we'd end up with a bunch of trial/forum users... which is the same as saying no licence... :) Just different wrapping..
And about yourself, no offence, but you are probably using VDJ illegaly... by definitions. Your friend is not allowed to share his install or licence with you. If thats the case...
But that doesnt mean we go attack you in every post, and we apreciate your help and inputs.
And we do hope you, and others, one day soon feel its right to get own personal licence, and become a full pro user at the site :)

The same old people appear here time and time again, asking questions when it is more than apparent their demo ran out quite some time ago. I have never seen a company with such a friendly attitude to using cracked software. I paid for it and get pissed off when people who obviously didn't get the same level of service as me.
As stated before, cracked versions of VDJ can be found in minutes, and the people using them should be ignored and shunned rather than encouraged to stifle development by their illegal practises.
The issue still remains of how to cater for demo users .... how about issuing them a "temporary" serial that lasts the same length as the demo. They can then register for the demo period and that will mean the crack software users have no licence therefore no help.
Being nice to people using crack versions is not the way forward IMO.

this is a forum of people helping each other and it is their choice to either give or receive information...

People using crack versions don't get the same service you do. They dont get access to certain pages, certain downloads. If they submit support tickets they do not get the same service you do. I joined this forum before buying vdj, and even after I bought it, I continued to use the forum before registering it. If I would have run into enough grumpy old men like you, I would've bought another company's software. So be careful who you shun, you might be costing Atomix alot of money.

sonido, im beggining to like you :) I noticed you and others like jimmyb and sirkitbreaker are up on point if it comes to help NLU´s. In the name off everyone you guys have helped, thanks. But the main point is still that i feel like there is no clear statement from the staff, how NLU´s shall be treatened. There has to be a reason that so often pro-users dont help but talk bad about the NLU´s. I know for sure that there are few pro-users that where using cracked version, therefor its funny how they act like they are the truth.
:D!!!!hehehe..

@ kradcliffe and terry
i´m sorry that i have brought a topic back up that has been discused twice. I did not want to start any trouble. i did´nt know.
I can understand you cliffe, but sometimes people are checking out the new versions of the demo to see if things have changed/ gotten better. That can be the reason for returning to the board once in a while. They can still be crack-users.... its on you to decide who you will help.i think you discribed it well.
I´m glad i have a clear statement, thank you all. Now let us all get into x-mas mood :)

And unlike whats said above, legal pro users gets benefits such as better support at e-service, access to certain pages and downloads. So its goodies for those who get in... even own forum parts ;) And so far, life worth of free upgrades

small edits done
This is the essense of it all... NOONE buys VDJ if they come here and are treated bad... Not only do they NOT buy VDJ, but they go look at other solutions, so not only is treating people bad here (no licence users or crack.. ) bad for Atomix/VirtualDJ, its also helping other competitor softwares...
So please welcome all .. after all, most have a common interest and passion : Music annd djing...
And many choose to go legal and full licenced after awhile, to support the software, and get full access to things, as well as upgrades etc.

I'm one of those freaks who bought VDJ from the very beginning, I didn't know there were "cracked versions".
Since then I've found a cracked version and I occasionally open it, makes me feel VERY NAUGHTY doing so.
So spank me.....:^)

Just dont go open any VDJ cracks, that can mess up your legal instal ;)
And since VDJ is the MOST popular audio app on the Planet (source: Download.com), its also a VERY popular app to use to implement spyware, ad-ware and other nasty things from the warez scene... So be careful... not only are cracks bad, it can be VERY harmful for your PC

dj-in-norway...... It was a joke honey, I'm safe trust me. :-)
(My working PC is a dedicated machine that is NEVER used for any purpose other than running VDJ.)
I have a junk PC used on the Internet for playing games, receiving annoying e-mail from friends and downloading porn.

I like the way you think. I am ready to throw up in the booth from all this crying. We have created a world full of crying wimps, who think they are entitled to what ever their little hearts desire. First, there are licensed users, and non-licensed users. These are the choices, why is it necessary to create another choice? Either you have a license, or you don't. I personally don't care if you are using your friends software or not. The fact of the matter is, you do not have a license, so let's call it the way it is. We are a family here, but how many families do you know that live in a perfect utopia? None. I am sure there are some of us that can not stand some of our family members. So why should this forum be any different. We come from all walks of life, from all over the world. We reflex these differences, and do not all walk in lock step, and most importantly do not all think alike. We do not live in a cute, loving, blue sky little world. To expect all of us to be sweet and loving, is ridiculous, and deserves a ride on the yellow bus. My record speaks for itself, as I have helped many no licensed users. However, I am not obligated, and will shun some if I feel like it. If you come here acting like an idiot, I will be the first one in line to treat you like one. For those that get their little feelings hurt, because some big bad forum user said something they did not like, and did not buy the software? I have a few words to say about that, but won't out of respect to my forum family.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all, including the no license users. Now, I off to the post from Renee. That "spank me" remark has me all upset, and I can't seem to stop sniffing my laptop monitor. I don't know why these people keep looking at me.
