Hi there guys.
I'm a complete amateur on this and have invested (or blown, depending on how the setup goes) in a Numark Omni Control unit. After years of playing with VDJ v2.1 on my PC, I wanted something to hook it up to.
Unfortunately, I have to assign all the MIDIs myself, whilst this works, there are a few issues.
1) The crossfader is inverted
2) Not all of the functions are easy to implement on the unit.
I was hoping someone has a .xml file that I can load, or have any advise on how to solve this.
I really wanna get into this but have been disapointed with the process so far.
Please help a fledgling wannabe DJ :-)

I spoke with someone who mapped the Omni, but its mapped for v5.2. Please download the latest trial, v2 is very old.

On the latest Virtual DJ you must tick the invert option as Virtual DJ processes the information in reverse.
Half of the software manufacturers read midi in the software in one way and the rest the other.
There is no set standard for midi mapping in the software industry so most software's include the reverse feature because of this.
2) Not all of the functions are easy to implement on the unit.
What functions are you looking for?
Please note you will need a registered full version of Cue or Virtual DJ for best use.
The next update of VirtualDJ/Cue will feature native support for this controller.
In the mean time we are publishing a XML mapping with the common functions implemented will be made available on numark.com (in the next couple of days) and submitted for publishing on this website.

Wow, quick response guys. Top notch!
I mainly want to use looping, scanning my MP3 files, setting cues and listening to the track coming in on my headphones.
Also help with setting up the audio output would be great.
I've got the v5demo as you've suggested, the layout looks pretty similar so will prob go ahead and get this.
Any chance of someone providing the mapping for the unit? I'd very much appreciate it, wanna get some practice in before Xmas!!
