Topic: Video Effects in trial version

Hi all i am new to virtual dj and am needing some help. I have linked my laptop to an overhead projector that i have and was attempting to show some video effects on this. When i click on the effects tab a video box pops up. i click on the desired effect and click activate. nothing happens. i have tried various things and cannot get this to work. Any ideas before i purchase the full version?

I think that video effects should work in trial version. Update your DirectX 9 and video card driver.
