Try this with virtualdj
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fM3RHNPLdc
Then you all know what I'm talking about. Torq can handle this, I've done it, well not with the same FINESSE but I'll get there with a little more practice. With virtualdj is impossible, I’ve try 1000's of times. It skips, drift, slips, what ever you name it, it does it constantly when back spinning. There’s a video that’s supposed to convince me that he’s doing it with virtualdj.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcxUHq0DVX0
But if you watch closely he is using Serato box and Serato TCV, plus Adding comments has been disabled; I wonder why?
Not to mention he never shows the monitor; what a fake. lol
Virtualdj is rock solid and it has beautiful skins and features, but when it comes to time code vinyl’s it suck, very disappointing. Because I like the program so much I refuse to trash it, so I still use it with a DAC3 controller and it works flawlessly, but when I want to go vinyl! is definitely Torq's arena (or Serato which I havent try, but it has a solid background on TCV).

Come ooooooooon dude!!!
No esta usando ningun virtual dj, es un fkn serato. Es por eso que no permite comentarios por que sabe que es fake. Sobre las habilidades del Dj no hay dudas.
Got the message now?

This is funny how he wants you to think its virtual dj when its really serato.

I think using the dots to mark his cue points is cheating, not being a real dj, a real dj would use headphones and cue by sound and feel not labels on the record.....oh yeah a real dj would also do the juggles actually on beat and live at a club not in a bedroom and where is his packed floor of dancers, no line out front.......maybe not fake but definitelnot a real dj
just thought i'ld have a bit o fun flipping the arguement abit.....Happy Thanksgiving ALL!

I haven't watched the video, but you do know you can use both the serato box, and serato TCVs with VDJ don't you?

You can do the same with PCDJ DAC3. Of course the Numark DMC2 is newer than the DAC3 and the DAC3 was made for PCDJ and Numark DMC2 was made specifically for virtualdj. But I got to add that the DAC3 works super great and the mapping is sick good. Back in the time when I bought DAC3 it was the hottest sht on town, time passes by, and maybe today DMC2 is the hottest sht. If I didn’t have the DAC3 definitely I would by the Numark DMC2, plus is cheaper.

Yes I know that, still not a difference. When it comes to TCV, virtualdj sucks. Besides if you watch the video there is no proof that he's using virtualdj, never show the monitor, plus the jerk dissable adding comments, and he knows why.

I think before you start calling guys 'jerks' you should know who they are ... he is a VirtualDJ VIP User and it is a follow-on video that he made specifically to draw comments here in VirtualDJ and not on youTube. That is why it is locked on youTube. And it is VirtualDJ he is using.
As for you personal opinion of the vinyl control that's cool appreciate the feedback but you could tone the disappointment several different ways. And blasting every TCV discussion is not that cool. We gladly want you to vent your frustrations and dislike ... but you don't have to do it by overposting in every thread that talks about timecode and VirtualDJ.
Thanks

How are you going to talk about a "real" dj won't mark his records after all those heated discussions about how a "real" dj will use vinyl, not vdj.

thats funkturnal and I know he did that with virtual dj. listen people who are having problems with TCV its difficult to get it setup and working good but once you do its on par with any other software. I spent many hours changing settings and different things until mine worked the way I wanted.
what exactly is the problems you are having and what type of soundcard, latptop specs, and some other info maybe someone can help.

using cue marks on your vinyl has been around FOREVER!
most beat juggling I've seen has been done using cue marks
the old school DJ's who turned this into an art form used cue marks

dj chachi...............
i get great results using vdj in timecode mode. i use native instruments dj audio soundcard, serato tcv, tech 1200s, pioneer djm 700, and a shitty acer laptop with a 2ghz core 2 duo cpu and 4 gb of ram. i can do fast chirps, infinite superfast backspins, and beat juggling. i will post a video soon.
dj electric........
i got your joke if nobody else did! haha
To clear it up for some people that may not know, before djs used computers, there was no way to see the wave form of the track you were playing! Us turntablist put stickers on our vinyl so the can visualize start points or scratch points on the record so we didn't have to take the extra time to search for it in with headphones!
its the same exact thing as marking cues on your tracks in vdj! imagine if vdj didn't have wave forms for you to see when the first beat hits or when the first word was gonna drop or the bpm sync feature?!?!?!? you would have to take time to cue it up in the head phones and then start the mix. now what happens if you mess up on the first try? you have to repeat this process over and over again if your not that good at mixing! next thing you know the song runs out and your getting boo'ed. NOT FUN
so whether there on your tracks in vdj or on your records you spin, cues just make mixing and scratching easier and flow quicker! now that i can see all the tracks i play in this computer age , i rarely use headphones to mix any more! THANKS VDJ!!! ha ha
