I have been in the disco circuit quite sometime, 45 years in 2014 I noticed from other despcriptions that venues were mentioned. I've worked in so many that it's difficult to remember which ones in Blackburn I haven't worked in. However, I haven't worked in Blackburn for years, decades. I worked on the Mecca circuit back in the 70's & 80's along with other nightclub venues in Lancashire etc.. I've also worked on the Warners Villages providing Soul & Motown. Nowadays, I am a mobile DJ. It's time I began to play the sort of music I am well acquainted with rather than for the younger element. Although regretfully in 1974, I visited the Casino in Wigan. It reminded me of the Stax Club in Blackburn. I worked for a short time in Tiffany's Mecca nearby in competition.Then again in 1981 Hence my love of Northern Soul.
