To me music isn't just a song, its something meaningful, an emotion and in my eyes my history of life. Call it fate but if it wasn't for my darkest days, bedridden from surgery, with my wife beside me complaining about the same song being replayed over and over, I would have never thought of being a DJ and her suggesting I start to learn about making my own music. I felt if I could do this, then I could survive any obstacle being thrown my way, I could survive being bedridden. Tutorial after tutorial, going from basic to intermediate and along the way I became more aware that being a DJ is my savior and so much more to myself. I was noticing that as time went by more and more people started to notice me. Friends would ask me to come play at there parties. Last Summer, a friend ask if I could fill in at a caberet. Called my wife for reassurance and positive support, its what got me up there to play in front of the biggest crowd yet for me. Right then I knew I had made the right choice. Later the next night I was to attend a festival to play a set but unfortunetly mother nature came way and blew that shot for me (rained out). Today I still practice everyday, from learning new things to broaden my horrisons, to making my own beats with my new addition a midi keyboard my wife bought for me. I still get invited to play at parties quite often. I just been hoping to get my name out there, to have someone to give me a chance because music is my life and will always be my number one savior.
