If your gonna get yamaha. Buy the carvins instead. carvins and Yamaha use the same brand woofers and drivers. Carvins are less money too. You do the math.....

I agree with Specter on JBL JUST NOT THE EON.
I have had a bad experience with Carvin. Good company though, I had a Carvin EQ that was a beast while it worked and there new line of cabs are real good.
I worked a club in Va. that was loaded with Carvin tops & bottoms. Out of 4 Dub 18 bottoms, one single 18" driver survived and all horns blew in the tops.
Perhaps the club owner had wires incorrect or something cause I never clipped, never redlined, never pushed too hard.

JBL = J,unk - B,ut - L,oud
I've been using JBL products for 30 years... but the EON series sucked for me, just doesn't have that great colored highs as the Mackies for DJing. I beleive they were designed to use as stage monitors - I did have much less feedback problems when using them live with bands. I still use JBL subs though... I blew many horn drivers using the EONs for DJing. Many bands have had the same issue blowing horns using them as monitors. Apparently, feedback is really not friendly to the EON series. No protection...

I first heard that statement from a stage manager I knew in the Toronto Area. He was Running the Concert Venue in the Amusement Park we worked at.
Can't remember his name now - was a great guy though.
