Topic: Have 2 cd players that are controlling the same deck.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have a Numark ICDX and Pioneer CDJ-400 and on my new laptop they both control the same deck in Numark Cue. No matter if I eject on the ICDX to switch decks it also does it on the CDJ. On my desktop it worked fine. ICDX was deck 1 and CDJ deck 2. I changed midi channels on the CDJ and that didn't help.

Thanks for your time
David

once you have activated your icdx - go to the sound setup screen and make sure you have assign the correct icdz to the right channel - left and right.

I'm using a external mixer. My external sound card sends the output of deck 1 and deck2 to the mixer and I'm using the mixer for everything. Am I able to use timecode on the ICDX and cdj400? I don't have the virtual vinyl box. Maybe just use the ICDX as a native control and the CDJ as a timecode. Does this sound possible?

Let me correct my first post. I never did have them working on my desktop. I just had the CDJ hooked up at the time, ICDX wasn't hooked up. I hooked them both up to my desktop this past weeken and same problem.
