I upgraded this week but observed that the sound quality deteriorates after a short time while playing songs.
My laptop is XP and I am using Hercules MK2 with latest drivers (uninstalled and reinstalled to try to resolve the issue)
WDM is selected - perhaps there are some performance settings I should choose to improve the situation - can anyone help? thanks
P.S. Using the old VDJ home edition there are no sound problems but obviously I want to use the 5.2.1 with all the nice search improvements..

I don´t have that exact problem, but since using 5.2.1 the main output (ch 1 and 2 on the MK2) sounds kind of compressed, not compressed as in Mp3 but such as you would use a external compressor/limiter. Anyone?

my sound quality improved a bit after restarting my laptop but I am still not convinced about the overall quality to be honest
