nice link mark, now all we gotta do is try and persuade the dev team to incorporate something similar into vdj, thats all i would need to make my life complete and of course half a dozen gorgeous birds round my neck, lol.


 
Well it is a great alternative to the 12 bank sampler VirtualDJ already has. I don't know if it is worth the $249 (Pro which you need if you want the global hot keys) unless all night long you are going to continuously drop sample after sample after sample ?
 
nope just need the extra facility for spur of the moment stuff, say if we have a walk through by the police, i would normally play a theme tune to "the bill" (a uk police themed drama series) it brings a laugh to the cops as well as the audience faces, as of now i've got to go get it and others for different scenarios, thats the only reason why i would like extra slots.

 
just thought, wonder if thats what fatman scoop does, just keeps dropping sample after sample after sample all night long, can't say ain't never been to one of his shows, but it would pi$$ me off...

 
interesting.. software... i wonder how much it samples it allows u to hold... and $249... damn...now dat is something

Like I've been saying for sooooo long now, the VDJ sampler would be soooooo much more useable if they could only incorporate a system to quickly load and save banks of samples. (see suggested idea in my blog)

Somebody wrote a plugin that would do this years ago back in the days of version 3.x, unfortunately it's not compatible with later versions. I'm sure it wouldn't be so hard to do...
 
Those bastards. I've been doing the same thing with Virtual Dj & Serato for years. It's nothing different. There' no point of spending money on it. All it is is command + Tab on a mac, I think on PC it's alt+ Tab to switch between screens. the hot keys idea is great but I don't think it can work out cause the same keys will affect the other software(Serato), especially when you search for a song, it'll be blowing horns.
