When using an external soundcard on a laptop in clubs and pubs. Can you really and truthfully definately without doubt 100 % hear the difference in sound quality between a 16 bit and a 24 bit card ?????????????

It doesn't matter.
Whatever bit depth your soundcard support, all MP3 are 16bit (just like CD's).
What matters is the convertors of the soundcard, and generaly the quality of the card.

In other words, dont get a consumer quality soundcard (creative, shit... blaster)
but pro quality (M-audio, Esi, RME, Motu and so on)
