I use the maya44usb with a desktop pc for now.
The problem is that the power remains on the usb bus when shut down the computer
(on most new motherboards, but not in laptops) - no bios setting to disable this.
That's bad, i will "hack" the board myself to add a power switch.

Another problem.
The card is shown in device manager, but no sound, even after reboot.
Or card is not present at all, (leds are on)
I have to unplug and replug the usb cable to solve this.

Anyone have this problem ?
I believe it is the power that remains on all the time.

wow...

never heard of a PC that will let the USB power be on, after the PC is shut off.
i can see why you dont like that.. lol

But is there not a power mangagement/power saving or somthing like that, in BIOS?
You should definitively be able to make them shut down when not in use, I guess.. but not sure.

Anyone?

I had the same impression and contacted gigabyte,
They answer "its by design" (its a feature not a bug.... he he)
to not allow to disable it, for sell phones and mouses and other sh...
My dj console and maya stay on like a Christmas tree...
The bad news, unfortunately... all latest motherboards have this "feature"
as i tested myself, and a friend who works in a computer company.
(except laptops ...)

sad that there is not an OPTION if you want the usb port to be on or not...

Guess you'll have x-mas all year around then ;) lol
