Topic: Numark Axis 9 & Cue

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Im using a maya 44 sound card and was wondering if the Axis 9 decks from numark will work good with Cue. Also which time coded disc do i use for this setup?

Yes, these CD players should work great with timecode CD's. I have used them before in the past.

You will need to download the timecode file and burn it to a couple of CD's:

Try the consumer grade first, and if you have difficulties getting a 100% timecode signal, try the pro grade.

The axis 9 should give you great results with the TCD , we have done alot of testing with them.

Ok good i will try them out soon and see how stable and accurate it is cause my numark cdn 88 don't work good with cue at all !!

They where not intended for that purpose.

So what are you saying that Axis 9 is not made for hand in hand use with cue? Please tell me a list of decks that will work perfect with cue. Right now i'm using a maya 44 soundcard and i already downloaded both versions of the time coded disc so no need to buy the virtual vinyl soundcard like everyone at numark says i need. So far i got everything i need i just need to know some good cd decks thats compatible with the program!!

What Sky was saying was that your old Numark cdn 88, weren't made for timecode use, not your Axis 9, they will be fine

Ok thanks.

If you use CDN-88, you may want to consider the Numark DMC-2 - That's a dedicated controller for VDJ and is very similar in layout to the CDN-88.

Right now im using the total control but i cant scratch like i want too thats why i want to upgrade my decks to something like the pioneer cdj 600's or 400's or maybe even the denon s3500's i was told that cue works flawless with these decks cause they are midi players!!

It currently supports them as time code players , and them via general midi control.

Hid control of the CDJ 400 and more Denon units , is hopped for the next update of cue.

Ok thanks i will just wait and see what will be the best option and the most reliable!!

im 13 years old and i am planning on buying the numark axis 9 as timecodes.
