Hi
I'm really going crazy over here, I need to mix more than 2 songs at the same time, is there any human way to do it in VDJ without using a multi instance skin, I would liek to be able to sync more than 2 songs at the same time, please of someone have an answer....
Thanks
DJ P

Can you create samples from one of the tracks you want to use and then utilize the sample board, mixing in the parts from the sampled track as needed?
Or you could mix two songs, record that mix then play that mix on one deck and the third track on the other deck.
Or use an external 3-4 channel mixer and a seperate CD player for the third track.

I have been thinking about the samples one. but what happen is when I put the new track sometimes the sample gets screwed up, you know gets the wrong time and things like that.
And well I don't have any external hardware, I was thinking about getting one but still, how can I sync the external with the internals?
Thanks

if you click the load/config button on the sample you can turn off the beat match so it wont change to the same BPM as the active deck.
The key there would be to know the bpm of the sample and match the tracks on the decks to the sample, not the sample to the decks.
sorry if my terminology for the button isn't exact, I'm at work with out the program in front of me.
to mix between the pc and an external cd player would be done by ear. The old school way.

Yeah I know very well what u mean with old school, been there with VDJ too, sometimes BPMs generated by the software are wrong hahahaha.
I already have the option disabled as well, I use my own samples so is not convenient to have it enabled.
I'm gonna keep working in your suggestion then.
Is really bad there isn't a real way to do the 4 decks thing
so far the only software I've seen able to do it is Traktor DJ Studio 3, but it won't recognize mi other sound outputs and it doesn't support 2 sound cards as VDJ does.
thanks again

Yes.
Its a very memory intensive thing to do on one computer, but I do it all the time.
Here's how to do it without detailed explanation since no one really "asked" how to do it, but asked if it was "possible";
1. Open up Virtual DJ. (A)
2. Configure the network settings, but make the network local.
3. Open up another Virtual DJ instance. (B)
Now you're done, everything is all setup! Its ideal to use 2 monitors instead of one little monitor, in fact, that would defeat the purpose of mixing more than two songs on one computer.
Last, what I do is I just play two songs on Virtual DJ (A), then for Virtual DJ (B) just either use my instincts and ears to loop a song (or just look at one of the BPM's of the song on the Virtual DJ (A) deck B and match it with Virtual DJ (B).
Complicated, but it can be done.
