Topic: Crash when loading two >10min tracks and looping

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

So, what`s up with long tracks, huh? Is it just my PC, RAM shortage or what? Any track, longer than 10 minutes, is not analysed. That would not be a problem though, VDJ still mixes everything ok. But when I load two long vinyl rips (show me a vinyl shorter than 10 minutes ;) on different decks, and try to loop one, I get the smiling face offering me to recover. Not quite a smile on my face though... Any solution to fix this crashing?

VDJ decompress the tracks loaded into your RAM. The bigger .mp3 files take a big place when decompressed.

That's because an option exists in VDJ (general options : MAX load). Adjust this option according to your RAM size.

The files which exceed the maximal size indicated in this option will be decompressed only during the reading.

You need at least 512 Ram to try and load two large files. Do you have that? If you have that then do what was mentioned, adjust max load. Lot's of threads on max load you can find.
