this week i'v expereince some trouble with kids while Vdj was automixing (while I was drinking the aperitif. :D )....
So i think that a shortcut to lock vdj controls would be interresting !

No to lock ALL the controls (mouse and keyboard)...

Yes, but I think a toggle button to enable/disable shortcuts could be great:
Normal mode: enable
Search mode: disable to type the name of artist or filename...
And why not a total lock (keyboard and mouse) as you said, and a toggle to improve the research.
