I upgraded my DMC with the chip from Gizmolabs.
It seems that whatever deck (left or right) on the DMC i use, it corresponds to the deck that i have ACTIVE in VDJ!
Cant i just use right deck on DMC --> right deck on VDJ
left deck on DMC --> left deck on VDJ
???

I think the dac/dmc need a user defined dll file to work.
There are users making such a dll file as of now, and hopefully it will be released by someone soon.
and, you can always make your own dll file also

I own and use a DAC-2 and the right side controlls the right deck. No problems there. It works with VDJ. As part of the latest update, the suport team allowed us to create a .dll file that gives us the ability to map DAC-2 keys to functions in vdj.
Daniels is writing a .dll to allow us to completely change and greatly improve the functionality of the DAC-2 with VDJ. He is still working on it but its not submitted it to the dev team for download yet. It is being tested now. Check out the new features forum. The post is here:
