Looking at the new Asus laptop to do small events, using external (UBS) soundcard and hard drive. Will Atomix mp3 run under Linux?

That micro aus laptop is not powerful enough for such applications, and atomix will not work in this revision of linux , it is possible on a standard distribution to use a program called wine which will allow windows applications to run in a wrapper.
atomix gives no official support or promises that it will work on linux.
