when it is deemed ready by the development team for full time professional use

you woudlnt want a dud release

there is a beta for you to try , in the mean time as a preview for the new features of V5
 
I am using cue for gigs and I just am wondering when the full one will come out

ofcoarse I want it to be flawless, but it is taught to do 2 gigs in a weekend without the new version.

The Beta version tends to crash a lot, at these high end parties I cant have that so now im stuck with cue 4.3...

so anyone? Does anyone know approximately when v. 5 will come out ?
 
When its ready, it be there;) Be patience mates. In the meantime, use the beta public 3.. it more stable than 4.3. If there is any crash u expriencing, do post the crash report. It will help a lot. Thks.
 
iv heard that it is not as stable as v 4.3

I cant take the risk of a crash during a gig
 
If u not confident as yet to use it at a gig, do try it at home few days or a week or two to see if it is good for u to use it live. Morever this version is still in beta stage, so it best to do testing b4 going out to the real thing;)

I use the beta public 3 n did not have "big" problem at my gigs..in fact it is stable than 4.3 to me;)
 
I have tried, unfortunatly, 4.3 is the most stable that iv experienced

I mean roughly, how long untill the full v 5 comes out?

Days, Weeks, months?

Hi all,

Agree with ginoshemesh,all of us will have big gigs by the end of this year... and we all need to know if the full v5 pro version will be released by the end of the month. If not, everyone will choose his best solution, 4.3,5b3 or 5rev5 on a PC..... but we really need to know if we can rely on a Y'07 release!


Without official pro release, i recommand 5b3, i've been using it for two weeks know and it seems to be stable, no major issues to report, and a behavior near to the 5rev5 PC version.

you must understand , software development isnt somthing you can magic out of a hat , it will come out when it is ready , and not a moment after or before

you wouldnt want a lame duck release , so the team will release it when it works perfectly

you will find that 5 beta 3 is generaly alot more stable than 4.3 on the whole

because it patches alot of show stopping errors ,

the public beta is provided for your conveinance so you can get a feel for the new product

if it isnt right for you please make a report into why it doesnt work for you and the dev team will make the next beta better

why ask for a date, if they give you a date you will only be more disappointed when the release date is shifted back, as several people have mentioned how software development and bug fixing works I doubt you will recieve a date..

im currently gigging with the latest beta.. it works for me - as other people have said try the beta see how it goes.. just because its not stable for someone else doesnt mean you're necessarily going to get the same troubles :)

and at the end of the day as skyfxl said if it doesnt work for you go back to using 4.3 and fill out a report :)

My personal guess with no validation whatsoever from anyone at Atomix is that it won't be month(s) as the pubic beta bug, error, and crash logs are getting fewer and far between, which common sense would indicate, progress is being made.

That's as good an answer as you're gonna get from anyone.

I think most people have given up reporting the bugs because they aren't getting fixed.

Although the crash reports, bugs, & issues, are posted (and greatly appreciated) by members of all levels of our community on these forums, the progress and fixes for them aren't discussed on these public forums, so that assumption would be incorrect.
 
im sorry but that simply is not the case ,the point of a beta is to resolve issues

all reports are valued and are taken for testing

there have been many fixes to bugs thats the purpose of a public beta to get public opinions ,
and feedbacks there have been 3 betas with alot of issues fixed

beta 4 is comming very soon , and im pretty sure

you want the perfect mac dj platform , and that you shall recive when its ready

when it is ready V5 mac will far outshine its competitors in features and stability and i think that is well worth the wait

threads like this , do not speed up the development process and

as apple and mircosoft so painfuly learned it is never a good idea to set or give a date as unforseen issues can arise

10.5 being 4 months late and Vista a year !

Well its been over a month since beta 3 and still no beta 4 i still can't even use the program because it crashes almost instantly. I reported the crashed the day after beta 3 and you would think that some of the reports would have been fixed and a beta 4 would have been released by now. I don't want to hear the "software development takes time" bull shit because i know that but updates on betas should be continuous and constant in order to move forward and resolve other issues. I have been waiting almost a year now for a stable release of VDJ for mac. I think Atomix should hire another programer because at this pace they will never have a finished mac version. If its more money they need I would be even willing to pay extra money because if I don't have a working version of VDJ for mac before Rane come outs with the video plugin for serato i will be spending a crap load of money on a TTM57sl. I am however afraid that this will not happen and Rane will have the serato video plugin out way before atomix has the mac version done.

come on guys,, speed it up a little, a lot of us are making a living off of our dj'ing and we need a stable system

I too have debated serato,,, and i dont want to go to it but its taking so damn long for this v 5 to come out
