Deck 1 is playing your song
on Deck 2 hit beat lock and loop the first 4 beats.....

When Deck 1 reaches it's break bring the fader over so 1 and 2 are now playing at the same time and un-loop deck 2.

This will make it so the song being mixed in will perfectly start and you will not get that lag sound that sometimes occurs when first hitting play and the deck is trying to catch up because you didn't hit play at the exact time you were supposed 2.

Hope you find this useful!!!

Cool or cue your mix 4 bars or 16 beats before you break, this should give you enough time to prepare the exit with all the bells and whistles.

I always use loops to mix 2, 4 or 8 beats, and also the amazing shift loop, and/or adjust the loop "on the fly", even with the faders up... for live variations of a loop, but i never use beatlock :) (time-stetching is off too..)

Vdj is THE TOOL ..
