Topic: Terratec DMX Fire 24/96 doesn't take 2nd Timecode input

it is impossible to use both ASIO channels with Timecoded CD
on that sound card,

the card mixer allows only selecting one entry :

- front or back or internal

shouldn't ASIO support get rid of this ?

(direct access to hardware)

in the manual it's said, outputs goes to CH1/2 & CH3/4 (in this case it's mono outputs)

BUT

nothing is said about the CD Timecode Input on the manual.

thank you !

This could be a problem related to a bad cracked version.

it´s not because of a cracked version - vdj works fine with the terratec dmx 6fire 24/96

i have one and it works with VERY low latency (1.5msec!!!)

it´s that simple :

left desk = cd in (on the soundcard - inside your pc)
right desk = line in (on the soundcard - backside or the front panel)

just connect your left turntable to the cd1 , cd2 or aux connector on your terratec soundcard INSIDE your pc (i simply made a cable for that) and your right turntable to the line in on the back of your soundcard or to the line input at the front panel .

i´m using vdj for scratching and beat juggling and with the terratec soundcard you can run it in asio mode at a latency of 1.5msec !

sorry for the late answer,

that's not true, i tested it with the demo,

i even tested it again with the latest demo but it's the same,

whatever line you plug into the soundcard it plays the same deck

the mixer of that soundcard allow either front or out ine the menu but not both .......

usually on asio applications, you do have a matrix for assigning input but in VDJ it's not possible.

SZ-B, i'll test your configuration later

thanks!

probably the software relies on the card mixer more than direct-talking to it

hi peeps did anyone get the dmx 6fire 24/96 pci card working with 2nd timecode input

maybe the problem is home users only get 10 minutes of use and users of cracked versions can not legitimately used timecode??

also it only has 1 phono preamp from what i see.

thanks for your responce,my version of vdj8 is not cracked,i can get one timecode working perfect but the 2nd is a no go,in the 6fire control panel it only lets u select rear line in or front line in,not both so i guess your right,i guess i should stop messing about with it and get a maya 44 usb, many thanks for your reply :)
