Topic: why does vdj recurse anytime I backspace to clear out a search?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Everytime I go to search for a song and then delete the search criteria does vdj go back into recurse mode. this didn't used to happen on version 4 but does now in 5 I don't want to have to recurse everytime im done looking for something. Please help

And yes recursing did occur in v4 if you cleared the search as it v5.
 
everytime i used 4 it didn't take half as long why is that?
 
also too i used to be able to jump around a track with my timecoded vdj vinyl not with 5 though whats the deal?
