VDJ does not read ID3V2.4 tags at all, it's limited to ID3V2.3 or fallback to ID3V1 if 2.3 tag is not present.
So if you happen to have fles with ID3V2.4 tags only, VDJ won't see any tag.
All my files are ID3V2.4 + ID3V1 so VDJ fallback to reading the ID3V1 tag.
ID3V1 does not work for my customs genres so I'd love to see support for ID3V2.4 in a future version.

Try to edit your tag with Tag&Rename http://www.softpointer.com/tr.htm ,it work perfect with VDJ ;)
