ok here is some scratching by me and i want to know if as fast as i am scratching is it possible for me to do this with vdj in real time as fast as my hands are doing it and my maya 44 usb sound card. put this link into your browser and listen.

I would say yes but don't have your soundcard. You need time-coded vinyl obviously and high end table/cartridge. Your good scratching...I'm probably at about the same speed and it works for me.

BTW. If you've purchased the software make sure to put your serial number in when you register. People don't usually answer questions by "no license user". The software is outstanding so if you haven't purchased I recommend it. Good luck.
 
Damn that was good.

There is NO way in hell I could do that with my XP10's.

1. of all I do not know how to scratch that good
2. I don't know if XP10's will respond as well as the vinyl
3. I did not have a mixer hooked when I recorded this sample so I could not mute when back spinning
4. I do not have the scratch track with all the samples. YES it makes a difference what you are scratching.

Here is a scratch sample done with the xp10 and no mixer. I used a shortcut to control the crossfader.

Damm DJShaun, that was awesome, would love to have seen your do it in person! Can he do the same thing in VDJ? Tha I would like to see and hear!
 
yeah i'd like to somehow test this system with my maya card because i know the latency is lower that way but the demo version wont let you use all the soundcard confugurations.

Scratching is not easy. you may have the equipment to do it but it takes a lot of practice. DJ Homeboy, that is far better than I could demonstrate the xp10's.

I dont use the xp10s for scratching. I use them because they are a real hands on feel. I can manipulate the the mp3 like vinyl: bending, holding, and cueing up tracks. It is a unique experience and brings back the hands on of DJ'ing.

There are 19 background windows xp services running/no spyware/no sp2!
Disabled Perfect disk file manager/no anti-virus apps running!
I find No audio hiccups, glitches, clicks, or pops that the s/w introduced!

Some time ago I made a whole track (with Reason) using a vocal sample "Drop That Beat", and made some simple scratching ONLY with VDJ, external mixer and a mouse :)

Yeah I like it. With a litlle adaptation it could be used as a jingle for transitions.
 
I posted my configuration with my demo of Mv DVS. Sorry for the confusion. There is a DJdecks video now, MV DVS demo videos, it would be nice to see a new video of VDJ 2.05 working with the time-coded vinyls.

I have said many time I will make a video and keep forgetting. So I thank you for the reminder. HEHE I will try to make it some time this week. If I forget REMIND ME. LOL I do that with alot of projects. As you can guess I am a very busy man but I love VDJ and the community so if u remind me I will be sure to get it done ;)
 
That's some amazing scratching. Are there any free (legal) scratch sample mp3's out there?
