Hey guys I was just wondering who here use or tried the ESI Maya 44USB soundcard, I heard and know that ESI gives out bad support for the U46DJ so I'm somewhat worried about my purchase I just made.
Can anyone let me know what their personal views are for those that tried it?
If there are no answers I'll review the card for all right here under my message.
Thank you for your time

I have the USB Maya44 and have had it for ~1.5 years. Well it's worked fine for the most part....however the latancy and reaction isn't there. Still 1.1 usb and isn't sensitive enough. I went ahead and got the SSL and it works miles above the Maya44. It is worth the purchase of getting SSL and still using VDJ for video.

Well, the card came in this morning, I hooked everything up, installed the drivers and was up and running within 15 mins with 0 hiccups.
The low down is this, I still get some minor slips on TCV although SSL gives me just as much so its not really much a difference in soundcards, SSL is also 1.1 for those thinking its so much better in latency I'm running it at 3-4ms wich is the fastest setting the Maya 44USB soundcard could get you.
for those wondering what kind of PC I'm running for this test here are the specs:
Athlon XP 2100+ 1.733GHz processor running on an Asus motherboard
1.5GB of corsair RAM
160GB Maxtor HDD with 8MB Cache
running a 12ft USB cable to my flight case (6ft USB from desktop to flightcase, then there's a 6ft cable to the soundcard inside the roadcase inside the flightcase)
Not sure what else I need to enter here as there's not much that could influence the speed or latency of the actual setup. Although I promise I will upload some pics of my flightcase in a few weeks showing how I customized my case to make my setups so much faster for a live gig.
