greetings earthlings....
Last night was another chapter in vdj's soap opera
At 10:45 i was playing a small file of 4:13min then i simply tried load a 3min song that vdj never analysed and it started to loop for the remaining duration of the load.Amazinly it looped on beat but then i noticed every once in a while it does this when you load a unanalysed song while playing another.Any suggestions?
Just in case you are wondering if this is a hardware issue. Not
max load was set at 10 min
IBM think pad R31 P3 1.4g 640ram 40gig hd ozone workstation 2 sound cards Asio 24 bit external mixer.Running temperature lowest 45 highest 70.Most of the time it runs at 58 during the night.
i dont load songs that have files bigger than the max load
i dont loop or scratch with webcam during load
i dont use more than 2 plug inn's at a time
i rarely use beatlock or automix
Win xp pro tweaked to power user settings
I dont drink when i work.....{:^)....lol....i still love this program
Any suggestions..thanks

Regards

Try setting the VirtualDJ process's priority to high.
It fixed a lot of my problems.

Before though, make sure your processor is properly optimized:
-Right Click on My Computer
-Choose Properties
-Click on the Advanced Tab
-Under "performace" click "settings"
-Click the advanced tab
-Make sure "Programs" is selected in both checkboxes

Once that's done, fix VDJ's priority (you'll have to do that each time you start VDJ). It really worked wonders for me.
-Start Up VDJ
-Minimize it
-Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE
-Go to the Processes tab in the window that just popped up
- Find the process called virtualdj.exe
- Right Click on it, choose "set Priority" and put it to "high"
- You will get a warning about "system becoming unstable"
- Click OK and ignore the warning.
- Close that window and return to VDJ.

Just don't set the priority to "real time".

Does the problem always occur with this 3mn mp3 you tried to load, or is it independent of the file being loaded?

What you can do, is if you see a file that is not analysed, right-click it and choose "Analyze" before loading it... Maybe this will work better than loading the file on the deck if it's not yet analyzed?
