if I scratch's (using the vinly or what it's called) it sound like an "speed-up" Is that right?

nope.. ;)
you need to choose SCRATCH for jogwheels in the option for VDJ ;) but this is NOT available for the console version, sorry... so jogwheels are only nudge there (speed up/down).
U can download the demo of vdj 2.0x to give it a try (think the feature is enabled there)
Or ... of course, getting the full version will let u scratch like a mad man forever ;) lol
